Community Media Education Program

Community Media Education Program

Resources to acquire media skills are becoming scarce. Arts programs in schools and community access to media tools and equipment are being drastically reduced or eliminated. At the same time, media skills are increasingly in demand in today’s public discourse and job market.

Pan Left understands that underrepresented community voices are amplified through the acquisition of media production skills and techniques. We also know that increased interaction between community members is forged through creation and sharing of stories. That is why we started our Community Media Education Program, free media literacy and production classes that are catered to groups of people who are not often heard in the mainstream.

This year’s classes have been made possible by a grant from the Kresge Tucson Initiative/Tucson Pima Arts Council. Muchas Gracias.
